I read a lot of books. I review a lot of books. But this is the first time I felt like the author had just copied and pasted most of the second book from the first one. Usually with the second book some of the story from the first book is given but I have never read one that in some cases was line by line from its previous. Strangely I kept reading to see if it was just a mistake but no, it carries throughout the novel. I would have thought it couldn't get worse but it could. Apparently there were pages missing from my Kindle copy or the author just dropped people in and out of scenes and the action without it being part of the whole.

I am left wondering, did the author just insert everything she edited out of the first novel that didn't work into the second novel expecting it would work now?

I rarely review a book I don't want to recommend but in this case I felt that it was important for the customer to know what they are getting if they should be tempted to purchase this, in my opinion, worthless junk.

Celtic Shores Book 2 in the Celtic Steel Series Delaney Rhodes Kimberly Killion 9780985332600 Books Reviews

I enjoyed Books One and Two in this series even though you see only three stars here. The rating is more because I could not get books 4 and 5 after getting so involved with these characters and their predicaments. Book three leaves them in a difficult situation to say the least, and that is where they will have to stay. I wish I had only read Book one-or had skipped this series altogether.
I like these books but the way they end doesn't allow you to stop with that one it's one of the most continuing story that I have ever read. But it is a cheap way to get all the money out of you the first book was free and the rest you have to pay, and the beginning of this book is part of the last one so not so cool! So enjoy the read I guess!
This book has a bit of everything. Romance, drama, action... I started reading and couldn't put it down!

It isn't often I find a book that I actually make it all of the way through but this one was a great read. The characters were interesting and easy to become invested in. The world they were placed in was wonderful.

I loved that the book was a bit longer than most books, which all seem to run on the short side. I'll be looking forward to book 3!
There was way to much repetition of the first book. It's one thing to refer to something that happened in a previous book, to clear up a point in case someone didn't read it. It's another matter entirely to devote an entire chapter or even half of one that is verbatim the same as the first time around. Then do it more than once. I liked the first book and I don't have a problem with the story line. It had so much potential to be a good read, but I felt like I only got half of a new book.
I'll wait for the review to come out before I get the third one unless it's free.
I read the first book in the series and was really looking forward to reading the next one Book 2 BUT i read 70% of book 2 and it just rewiewed what happened in book 1. So disappointing i was not going to bother with anymore books in the series but i just started book 3 in the series and so far so good, not sure what the reasoning for recaping book 1 70% into book 2. Please don't do that anymore. An Avid reader Sandi
Disappointed!

This review will be short due to the fact that this is part two of the whole story - in other words 1/4 of the book repeats the first part of the book and this second part doesn't come to an ending. The story doesn't climax or give any closure as in a regular novel which really kind of aggravates me because in order to get the whole story I have to read 5 to 6 parts at 3 to 4 dollars a book in order to get to the Happy Ever After or some type of Closure.

So it may be a while before I can finish this series. Don't get me wrong, I like the story line but just disappointed that the story didn't come to completion.

In truth, I wish the author would have made one book because each part is 200 to 250 pages and it would made the book more appealing to buy having a complete story in one book verses paying 3 to 4 dollars per chapter per say.

There is nothing wrong with the author's writing, the words do flow smooth and the story line is addicting. The characters are awesome but as far as the drama that unfolds, nothing is complete and the only thing I have is questions and wanting answers for.

The romance is sweet and the erotic scenes are teasing - they are not to descriptive so I would recommend anyone 14 yrs old and above to read.

I have only one request for this author - Please put these parts all together.
I noticed that 19 readers gave this one 5 stars. I can only assume they didn't read book one or they are delusional. Because this one is about 70% a verbatim cut and paste of book 1.

That is why I dislike Cliffhangers. They are almost always a disappointment to those who read the 1st book. The author feels compelled to bring the new readers up to speed as to what occurred in book 1. Than either does quick summerizations of those situations, or the second and worst choice, in my opinion,is the author cuts and pastes large chunks of the previous story. Then tries to chink in more information to form a new story. Bad move. Makes me feel cheated and I distrust the author. The next time I see her stories listed I don't buy it.

In this case Ms. Rhodes should have ditched book 2 and taken the 30% of new materials and put them into book 1. While she wouldn't have had the sales from book 2 she would have come off as being an author not looking to rip off her readers.

I am very disappointed in this book. I really do feel like a fool for getting suckered into reading it. I didn't buy it, Thank God, it was freebie.

My advise don't waste your time. Be satisfied with book 1 and skip book 2 you won't miss hardly anything.
